Why is the decor of your Haldi stage important? While on your Mehendi function, the bride’s seat is the star of the decor, the mandap is the star attraction on the wedding day. So on your Haldi function, of course, it’s where the bride or groom will be seated that’s the main attraction!
Most of us will be ok with hanging a yellow fabric or a handful of flower strings as the backdrop, but with the smallest extra effort, your Haldi stage can look beautiful too!
The green backdrop provides a beautiful contrast to the yellow of the bride’s sari and Haldi colour!
This one’s got everything – curtain of marigolds, yellow drapes, gota patti cushions, a swing and that beautiful hill station view!
The gold drape will provide a pretty backdrop to yellow Haldi photographs!
For a larger Haldi event at a destination wedding, this sort of set up and chair arrangement is practical. The green with pops of yellow are simply stunning!
Lifestyle blogger, Diipa Khosla, sat on this bedazzled sofa seat with vintage arches for her Haldi ceremony in Udaipur, India. It was a unique stage decor idea that seated her and her husband comfortably to be coloured yellow!
Why go subtle with your Haldi stage decor when you can go as bright & happy as this? Love the yellow triangle-shaped strings of fabric, the contrasting neon green skirt of the stage and the bright happy long tassels all around the venue!
When the view is as beautiful as this, all you really need is a “curtain” of floral strings on the terrace and a comfy chair for the bride or groom.
Now that you’ve got some inspiration for your Haldi decor, figure out what to wear to your Haldi ceremony.
