No End to Dreaming Big for Superstar Jyoti

Meeting pros is always a humbling experience. There is an instant feeling of belonging to a family (the UC community). These professionals also crackle with ambition and have an incredible work ethic. They recognize the platform for what it’s worth – and this serves as a great reminder of the central role Urban Company plays in real people’s lives.

Jyoti is a superstar Salon professional with a whopping 1,400 deliveries till date since she joined Urban Company in early 2017.

Flashback

Mehrauli mein khud ka ghar hone ka sapna dekhti thi

A resident of Mehrauli, Jyoti, her mother & 2 younger brothers lived with their uncle for the past 20 yrs. While working at a famous salon chain, Jyoti’s mother would worry as she’d travel from Mehrauli to GK2 by bus and return late sometimes. While working with a beauty services company, she disliked getting jobs from Noida and Gurgaon. Both were fixed salary jobs, which demanded a lot of her time with few perks. An independent, ambitious woman, Jyoti refused to settle. She’s not looked back since she joined Urban Company.

Jyoti bought her new house right next to the main market in her childhood neighborhood last year. Her proud mum points out the new 60 inch TV that Jyoti got for her this Diwali. As her mother prepares chai, Jyoti also shows off her new Oppo Reno phone with a guilty giggle. I even got a lift on her Scooty that she bought a year ago.

Urban Company mein pata chala ki sapne poore bhi hote hain, she says proudly. She loves the independence and flexibility that Urban Company offers. Her loyal repeat customers who’ve moved to Noida and Gurgaon continue to miss her, she claims.

Ab toh naye sapne dekhne padenge, saare poore toh ho gaye

Jyoti said  this before adding ab mummy aur bhaiyon ko ghumaane ke liye i20 ya Swift Dzire lena hai agle saal. After referring two of her friends as beauticians she’s also a vocal ambassador of UC and continues to convince other beauticians to join. She has full faith in Urban Company and tells her friends life mein kuch  karna hai toh yahan join kar lo.

She wishes Urban Company a very happy birthday too. With a 4.94 rating under her belt, sky is the limit for Jyoti!
