Things to Keep In Mind

  • Moisturize before you put makeup on. Wash your face with lukewarm water before using any makeup product. Pat dry and apply a moisturizer to avoid dryness. This also has the added benefit of creating a good base to apply foundation and make it stay on longer. Remember to moisturize your face and neck for at least 20 minutes before you begin putting on makeup.
  • Match your foundation shade to the skin on your neck, but also take your décolletage into consideration, especially if you’re wearing a low-cut top. The skin tone of your face may be slightly darker or lighter than the skin tone of your neck, so matching your foundation to the neck is important to avoid the dreaded noticeable line of demarcation where your foundation starts and stops.
  • Don’t smile or frown as you apply blush to the apples of cheeks. Doing so raises them, so when you stop smiling and cheeks return to their normal position, the blush color ends up being lower on the face and closer to the mouth and vice versa.
  •  So go ahead and give these party makeup styles when you go out next and let us know how it goes! And if you find that you need any professional help with your makeup routine, just give us a shout and our makeup artists will be at your service.
